It's finally spring on Palomino Farm! We have chicks, poults and even ducklings this year!! I'm staying busy taking care of all the babies and having fun playing with them and taking photos. I purchased turkey eggs on eBay and had a very unsuccessful hatch, ending up with only one little guy. I picked up a couple ducklings to keep the lone turkey company and it has worked out beautifully. They are Indian runner ducks and are a first for us. One is a yellow baby that will be fawn and white, and the other is black. They are both females. The little turkey who isn't growing very much and walks with a limp loves his duckies. Whenever I check on them I find turkey on top of the ducks, snuggling and softly chirping to each other. I really hope the little guy gets to grow up with the ducks. What a nice trio they make.
I'll be doing most of the blogging on the site. I love my animals and want to share them with you!!
My husband will be posting from time to time. I "forced" him into farming, so his posts should be quite interesting. He loves it though, don't let him fool you!
